TEDDY KATZ: TANTURA Israeli historian, peace activist and a leading member of Gush Shalom tells the story of his political awakening, and then his discovery of a great, great lie. I grew up in Israel. I spent my first 40 years eating and swallowing everything I was given to swallow, without any questions. Then, In his early 40s, Katz went back to school -- Haifa University for a masters in history. Katz learned -- on his own -- that one of the very first decisions new Jewish State made was to make an ethnic cleansing of their own, of the Palestinians. Katz wrote his thesis on the massacre of Tantura, one of the 553 Palestinian coastal villages demolished in 1948 (part 1 of 3 / 30 minutes).

Important find.
At this point, it's hard to ignore the mountain of evidence (released IDF archives, witness accounts, historical accounts both from Israelis and Arabs)
...
that points to the ethnic cleansing of over 750,000 non-Jews from 1947-1949. Their villages were looted, destroyed by explosives, fire and bulldozed over to prevent their return. Teddy Katz interviewed Arabs and IDF soldiers and wrote a master's thesis about the massacre that occurred in Tantura and received a 97 grade. A bit later, once the full meaning of these interviews and implications of the actions of the IDF soldiers were publicized, he was sued in court and forced to write a retraction. He quickly retracted this but the judge would not allow this. There was a cover-up. There is a new, riveting documentary about this shameful event and the actions of the IDF (massacres, rapes, looting, ethnic cleansing) that covers all of this material called Tantura: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wgu36w-jYCk
